Procedure writing

Martin the Alien has arrived on Earth and he wants to know how to make a Healthy Hamburger. Write a procedure, using the correct structure and language, to instruct Martin on how to make your Favorite healthy hamburger.

Title: Chicken Burger and chips

Ingredients/Materials:

Chicken patty

sesame seed bun

Tomato sauce

lettuce

Beetroot

Method:

1.Put patty into pan on stove  and watch so it doesn't burn.

2.Slice tomatoes, if the knife is too sharp get someone older to do it.

3.Grate some cheese.

4.Grab the patty when it is ready with tongs and put it in the bun.

5.Put the tomatoes in the bun.

6.Place the beetroot onto the bun.

7.Put the cheese in the bun.

8.Squirt some sauce over the ingredients.

9.Flip the cover of the bun on top.

10. Eat and enjoy.

Science Experiment

For the Science Fair my group did the parachute. We found out that the bigger the surface area of the chute the better it flew - it fall slower to the ground.

                    

Adverbs

I have been learning how to use adverbs as sentence starters to make my writing more interesting.

Angrily the dog barked at the cat up the tree.

Greedily the robber stole money from the bank.
